Early every morning, the road by the river is filled with trucks unloading fresh produce brought down from the mountains surrounding Chiang Mai city. Amongst the baskets of fruit and vegetables are thousands of bundles of fresh cut flowers in every variety, colour, shape and size you can imagine, ready for the flower market.
